www.techsmith.com/camtasia - This is the software package that I use. Works well and isn't that glitchy. Allows picture in picture editing which is something I've tried to utilize to showcase data collection activities.
www.techsmith.com/jing - This is techsmith's free version of Camtasia. Of course, free software has its limitations and this one is no exception. There is pro version of Jing that runs about $20 or $30 a year and allows longer capture times (5 minutes max compared to 2 minutes for the free version). The editing features aren't very deep, though.
